This market may have some items that are a bit overpriced, but it's incredibly convenient and well-stocked. You can find just about anything you need here, from fresh flowers to groceries, and even a full-service deli. I personally love stopping by for their sandwich special of the day--it's always a great choice.

I would have given this 5 stars 20 years ago when my office was a block away but I stopped in with colleagues as we were visiting a property that we bought and the sandwiches were still huge but the staff wasn't as polite as they used to me. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, still one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I've ever had.

The only grocery store around, in the same building as Bayside Village, situated across from Delancey Street Restaurant and the Embarcadero. Their deli & sandwich counter is perfect for the baseball fans walking to the Stadium almost a mile away. R&J's has all the staples, & then some. cheeses, produce, water, soda, beer, wine, flowers, fresh ground coffee beans, bakery, snacks, take-out food, most things you would find at Safeway, but prettier. They have a few tables & chairs outside, shaded by trees. Very pleasant atmosphere.

One of the only food options for my office nearby! And honestly I'm okay with it. They offer made to order sandwiches at their deli counter. They also offer premade wraps, sandwiches, snack boxes and more. Then they offer your standard convenient store fare (chips, snacks, beverages, light groceries). Not much more you can ask for! I typically opt for the premade snack box of crackers, cheese, grapes and almonds. It tides me over for lunch at only ~$6.

We stopped at this market for a quick bite in between appointments. It was recommended to us not as a purveyor of groceries (which of course it was), but rather as a legit lunch spot. This recommendation was on point - the deli was solid and had a particularly appealing selection of paninis. My gf and I each ordered one. I got the turkey pesto business, which was lovely - high-quality ingredients that were nicely blended and nicely toasted inside of the bread. The flavor of the sandwich in general was very good, but the bread that constituted the vessel of the sandwich, fresh focaccia, was the real star. The same was the case for my gf's chicken avocado panini - the sandwich as good but the focaccia reigned supreme. So probably you can order whatever panini you want (they all looked good) and it will be spectacular. This is a gem of a sandwich joint.
